I never knew you won the lottery Chris
Do tell.
No Darren...…not me, mine was all hard earned during 35 years at Derby Plating. http://www.derbyplating.co.uk
So it HAS had a front frame rust repair to "MOT standard", according to the now ended advert linked in the OP.

No mention of basic information like mileage or VIN....

My folks live in Canterbury and guess where I'm spending Christmas! I could possibly have a look at it, although I wouldn't really know what I was looking at so I'd have to take lots of pics and let you guys be the judge.

Ah so its that one then.

Even though it needs a good bit of Chassis welding, the rest of it looks Ok. At the right money it would be OK, but personally i'd never be happy with it until it had a full Chassis off restoration.

Just my opinion of course. You could drive it as it is.
At that money I would suggest that it's 'possibly' a good buy now with prices on the up. Even with a new chassis (assuming you can get one) you would still be in profit assuming you can do the work yourself.

Chris, I was only pulling your leg
I know Darren…I know…. Big Grin
How much in work do you think one like that would need doing? To get an idea of total cost
She is back on eBay.... Advert still in CAPS LOCK

Still think this may be good buy for someone who has the time/skill do get the chassis sorted.
Chris
Unintentionally hilarious:

Quote:THESE ARE THE RUST FREE CLASSICS, ALTHOUGH IT DID HAVE SOME RUST ON THE FRONT
Looking at it again it's my ideal DMC - manual, grey, light wheels, narrow stripe, pleated bonnet.

Back to saving...
That's the way Matt. BTW, a bit off topic but how about this gull winged car?…. http://r.ebay.com/x9Axos
I've always wanted an AZ-1 but I'd never fit in it (width or depth before you ask Chris...). They're suppose to be tremendous fun.
