Full Version: Any one else thinking of doing a BTTF conversion?

Well I eventually got the side windows out . Hopefully I will never be involved in taking out another window ever again - what a pain. After trying numerous ways of trying to cut through the black silicon I found the easiest way was to heat the silicon up with a hair dryer and then cut through it with a Stanley knife. 3 hours, 7 blades and knackered hands later the windows are all out

Thanks Luke, although, would you believe that I moved them while doing the windows and dropped them outside on concrete. Unfortunately they are all scratched now :-( I reckon Doc brown must have dropped something while doing his conversion so I have decided that my will have the battered, dropped, used effect :-)

Big Grin well at least you could get £100 for that original Krups grinder. Funnily enough I saw this the other day on at £500. He has put the starting bid up it seems :-)
Keeping in with the no holes drilled theme, near accurate parts have been added onto a removable panel that can actually be taken on and off. When on the car you can hardly tell Big Grin

The finishing details on both side pontoons have yet to be completed.

It's all looking really good. Cant be that far from finished now is it? I know there are lots of little bits, but as a car that looks like a BTTF car!

It's getting close to completion Big Grin The biggest, hardest and the worst job is next (the bending of the flux bands.) This by far is the hardest part of the car to get right. I'm sure all replica BTTF car builders will agree.

I think the UK is in need of a good BTTF flux band bender. Big Grin
