Just noticed that 7352 and 7126 and the DeLorean on the rear bumper highlighted. I thought that was an aftermarket thing done several years later.

I wonder if it is paint or stainless?

Stuart, do you have any date info on this pic?

Looks very eighties based on the bus and the Landrover but could be early or late.
The highlighted letters ( painted backgrounds) were factory done on some early cars.

Yes, some were done by Joe Murray ... Joe told me a story once where he had to write a letter to an owner to confirm that he had actually painted the letters himself in the factory. The owner in question had entered his DeLorean in a concours where he was deducted points for the painted letters for 'not being original'. Joe had then to confirm to the owner and the jury in a letter that he had actually painted the letters by hand in the factory ...

One of the many stories of Joe Murray ....

It's a screen grab from this video, compare it to the other vehicles on the street at the time Shock

That Norman Stockton needs a good kick up the a#$e BTW
I always thought RIA7123 was the car at the Ulster Folk & Transport museum?
The picture we all know of the 50,000 mile test car is 7123 but apparently that's the one that caught fire. The Museum one is the second of the pair of test cars.
so what reg number is the museum car?
Good question!
