had this sent to me today by someone I know on Facebook - dont know if its true or not, as
I've not seen anything else, but you never know!!

STOLEN
DELOREAN DMC-12- St Helens 10/6/2013
Car was stolen from a driveway mid-afternoon on the 10/6/2013, the car is a restoration project and with minor ignition parts missing so a trailer/truck would have been used in the theft. The car was not UK registered however it is Delorean VIN 2311. A very unusual car to be stolen and any sightings or information would extremely helpful in recovering this vehicle for the owner.

Anyone know who's car this is/was and if this is genuine or not?
We certainly have club members in that area, really hope it's not true mind. Why pinch a DeLorean?
Chris
I know, its not like you can shift them on easily, as everyone in this Club knows cars in their area
or looks out for bits on Ebay and the like.

Is #2311 known to the Club?

I'm slightly sceptical, as I would have thought that if it had gone walkies on 10th June, someone on
here would have said something by now.

No, but there are SO many coming back at the moment it could well have done. it's a black/auto BTW

True, but there are still some we don't know about, the one in Deal that's just been sold, another bought by a club member James (crossland83) was another one that's been hear 20 years but unknown in the club, until the owner wished to sell it. (Bereavement sale Sad) So that's two in 2 months that have come to light. Does seem strange though.

Chris
Glad the 20yr barn find car has found a new home, look forward to seeing progress on it Smile
i'll keep an eye out.
I've been sent some photos of the car, I'll try and post them on here asap.

Its got the wrong bonnet for an early car, and only half a set of headlights.

Fingers crossed that it was insured, I'm sure the insurance company will be in touch with us sooner or later if it was.
Chris

Doooh How did we miss that   good job some one knows what's going on. Just hope it's not true.
Chris
reading the guy's thread,

He's basically saying he's ringing a car.... legally you cant just transfer a vin plate to a differnt car... It would have to be registered as a new vehicle.

Second that. My Dad saw this car today. near the Beehive.
Is this true? Has Mike's car been stolen? (Nice chap! I sold him a passenger side Torsion Bar for his car in April too! - He came to pick it up from my place in Rugby personally)
