We all ought to club together and buy it.........so we could get it off the road!

Actually I bet that make and model of car is rarer than 'official' BTTF time machines in the UK..
Used to use one of them as a taxi in the early 90's.
Poor effort though... Shouldn't it be a silver VW Scirocco or something of a similar shape?

With at best 80 hp when new, many of which have doubtless escaped over the years, I'd be impressed if it can actually do 88

lol, would you believe it that this car started out right here near me in Melton Mowbray. There was an article in the Melton Times last week about it. Seems a group of guys went on a Top Gear challenge style trip. They had £400 to buy a car, customise it and drive it down to North Wales and back doing tasks on the way. Seems there was this BTF car, a Jurassic Park 4X4 and a limo, complete with Middle Eastern bodyguards.
When I had the D out yesterday doing the last few bits on the interior (yes, its all been done and finished now, just about) a few people walking past mentioned it. They pointed out that I should let them know that a REAL DeLorean exists in Melton, rather than this pretender.
Mind you, she's having her first official outing this Friday for the small classic car meet that happens in Melton on the evening of the last Friday of the month, so people should know that a real DeLorean lives in Melton.
