They do have a nasty habit of this. I repair them as follows: Drill several small holes along the length where they warp away from the fibreglass and inject polyurethane bondant through the holes. Use a block of wood and a couple of G-clamps to press them back to shape against the pillar and leave it to set. Then mask off and re-dye over the holes which will now be neatly filled with PU. You have to know they're there to find them afterwards.
