The motivation behind it sounded a bit DeLorean to.....hmm

The guy CLEARLY knows nothing about Delorean.
He took a car, put a new body on it, and called it a new car - An act which epitomises the very reason why John Delorean left GM in the first place!
And then to make things worse Clarkson kisses his arse the whole way through, when you know he's sat there thinking 'this guy's an idiot'.
Also, anyone who specifically asks to drive an automatic over a manual, should not be allowed to make cars.
