Has anyone heard the myth of the buried Wooler Hodec cars in Westfield,East Sussex.
A chap that I used to work with in Hastings told me this rummer.
He said that a chap brought a big piece of land to have a private runway for his own use,but couldn't get planning permission to do this,so the chap with the land and his mate brought these Deloreans and buried them in containers deep under ground.
I was just having a look under Deloreans in the press section of are web site and saw an article titled "Wooler Hodec mystery solved".
Is there any truth to these "Myths".
Maybe a question for the club Historian.
As I understand it there were no complete Wooler-Hodec cars buried, only the fibreglass underbodies.

Andy Withers or Chris Parnham will be able to add more info on this.
hi

take at look at the pjgrady.co.uk website for more info.

i also took it that no complete cars were buried. would not make sense either.

also i have doubts that any were crushed and used as 'hardcore'. steel/plastics etc would just not be used in this way i think.

i would gues they may have buried some of the resin bodies, as these would be more difficult to dispose of, compared to metals etc.

just a guess.

does your contact know any more or where they are?

i have researched this but information is sketchy to say the least

Hi

Mmm, this "story" does seem to resurface every couple of years.

I dont think there is any substance to it at all

Cheers
