hi steve if your running an 8 valve corsa they use hydraulic lifters which you are unable to adjust, you can take them apart and clean them or very often an oil change with good quality oil helps (new ones are only about £6 each). My daughter uses one in here race car and when they run hot you get the the ticking but that stops as they cool down , that motor is known to wear the cam after high millage but it only means you loose some power give us a shout if you want to know more brian
