Hi all,

The DOC-UK are once again invited to take part in the Long Eaton Carnival Smile

We had a great time last year, as we were part of the parade of Classic Cars that
paraded through the area with all the carnival floats. The carnival then moves to a
show ground where the fun and activities continue, and there is a static display of
classic cars.

It is an earlyish start, as we have to be in place with the carnival floats by 10am IIRC.

If you'd like to come along, please add your name to the list below!

Cheers,

Claire

Absolutely fantastic. Thousands of people waving, cheering and taking photos! 8)
looks like we're gonna have a good turnout on Saturday, as Rich Hanlon, Malc Lomas and Paul Birks are also interested in attending this.

Any more for any more?
quick update, Phill spoke to the organisers tonight, and they are thrilled to be having the DOC-UK back for the carnival this year.

We need to be in place with the other classic cars and carnival floats by 10.30am, so can I suggest anyone fancying convoying to Long Eaton be at our house by 9.45am to give us plenty of time to get there.

To cap it all, we're also doing our own village carnival the next day too! lol If you want to join us, let me know asap, the carnival starts at 12 noon, and attractions include a flypast by the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Big Grin

The email I got from the organiser said "I went past your house today, saw the cars and couldnt believe my eyes!" lol Big Grin
I might be up for this one too.
Yep, could be arranged!

Can you send me your new address on a PM? Haven't seen the new place yet!
PM Sent Rich Big Grin

Malc and Gaye Lomas have also confirmed they are coming along too, so with them and Rich that makes 5 cars for definate.

Mike, be great to see you again too if you can make it - would it be easier for you to meet us there? Be daft for you to go past J25 up to ours to then turn round and go back again. If so, I'll send you the address of the meeting place in Long Eaton.
Sure send the details incase I get to go
Go on Mike, you know you want to

I think im gonna give this one a miss this year, With it already being an expensive month already i think i need to conserve abit of fuel to avoid having to fill up next week. With me pc going boom its really turning into one of those months...
thats a shame Mike, but I know what you mean and I fully understand.

Hope you get everything sorted ok.
A few pics from the day - it was a bit cloudy until late afternoon (like last year), but it was a good show, and thousands of people lined the streets waving and cheering.

We had 6 cars in total, as Julian and Lisa joined us with 'Gull 81' Big Grin

Unfortunately, my cooling fans failed (relay melted) part way through, but thanks to the guys at Long Eaton Garage I was soon back on the road and joined everyone at the showground a bit later.
