Hello all.

I intend to replace the radiator mounting bushes soon. On Houston's site it's number 22 on this page:

the bush looks to be 1" external diameter and perhaps 3/8" in height. Can anyone confirm this to me?

I'm not going to order a pair of rubber bushes from Texas at $52.50, so I'm looking for alternatives. I just need to check that the bush is approx 3/8" in height when installed )

Then you'll have shipping and import duty to pay on top of that..........

Might be worth taking your old ones off, and having a word with your local motor factor
and seeing if they can match them up to something.

I went ahead and bought these:

they're probably a little to large (on the height side). width I'm alright.

the bloke I bought the above off says the dimensions are:
height : 15mm
width : 27mm
internal dia : 8mm


it's just a matter of knowing the proper clearance at the top of the rad to gauge whether i can get away with a larger bush at the bottom, if you get my meaning.

it they are over big, can they be trimmed down to size if need be?

EDIT - having seen the link, I might get a few of those, as I'll be replacing the bushes
and stuff on my 1989 Cav when I get around to restoring her, plus I could always do
with a spare set for my 1993 Astra Convertible. Good find there matey!!
