Apologies for this shameless use of the DOC Forum to advertise my non-DeLorean BMW, but afraid needs must so I'm trying to get the word out in case anyone is interested. Thanks for looking:
I’ve recently bought a sports car, and so I must sell my beloved 316i Coupe as it’s not practical for me to run both cars (as much as I’d like to).
The car was registered in March 1999 (on a “T” plate) and as you can see from the photos it’s in excellent condition, with absolutely NO dents or scrapes anywhere on the bodywork, and the grey cloth interior is absolutely mint as well (no wear on any part of the seats at all). It’s done just 57,000 miles from new, and I have a full service history to back that up.
I bought the car through the BMW Approved Used network in September 2004, and there were only 2 owners before me. Over the 30,000 miles I’ve personally driven in it it’s never missed a beat or not started on the first turn of the key and has NEVER been thrashed.
The air-con was re-gassed in July 2006 and the car had a new battery fitted earlier in the same year as the original unit the car had had from new was starting to lose its charge.
I’ve calculated the fuel consumption a few times during the time I’ve had the car, and I’ve never known it go below 40 mpg. With petrol costing what it does at the moment that’s good to know.
The MOT runs until the end of September this year, and the road tax expires at the end of February 2009. Also, it’s just had an Inspection carried out.
Features include:
· 17” M3 alloys (rear tyres replaced recently with Continental Sport Contacts)
· Front fog lights
· Lip spoiler
· M3 steering wheel
· M3 gear lever
· Original BMW Business radio
· Electric windows and mirrors
· Rear headrests
· BMW 6 CD Changer (mounted in the boot)
· Digital climate control
· Remote locking (with alarm and immobiliser)
Based on the mileage and the condition of the car I think the figure I’m looking for is justified, which is £3,000 (or near offer).
