My "extremely reliable, never break" tachometer has broke.

Checking for availabilty before resorting to Huston.

Face plate is not important since I will be fitting my own (faded) one to keep everything matching.
have a word with chris N TT

Have you had a go at fixing it Rich?

You 'could' try BBA Remanufacturers:

http://www.bba-reman.co.uk/

or some other instrument repair place.

Good luck.

There's a Renault 25 in Loomses at the moment Rich - which might yield one with similar guts even if the face plate is different. And an Espace too, I think.

It'd definitely need to be off a 6-cylinder though - and I think the 25 was, though the bonnet was stuck shut and I couldn't confirm it...

I'm sure a lot of instruments are common across vehicle types - I have a Peugeot 309 clock which is IDENTICAL to my Allegro one!
I've got a good s/h one.
