All,

We're making good progress through the restoration of Pilot 20 - but I really, really want to get the correct steering wheel for the car.

The link below shows you pictures of the wheel I want - it's sourced from a different car - but we haven't been able to find out which.

This is becoming an obsession for us - so I'm offering a £££ reward to anyone who can nail this for us and either provide a wheel for us - or definitively name which car and year it's sourced from.

Thanks

Darren
It reminds me of a peugeot steering wheel... :?
it is very similar to the Renault R20 TS steering wheel... maybe renault is the right way to search ^^ ?

Certainly looks French to me too. I'd been thinking Citroen 9 but then they had single spokes at the time didn't they? Will cogitate...
you could try these people, but don`t get your hopes up

It feels more of a Peugeot to me...
A peugeot 309 steering wheel is a very near match

Agreed, a quick Google shows a similar steering wheel. Long shot, but would it be at all possible to ask Lotus directly? Im sure they have ways of finding out what they used? Big Grin
well i haven't got a clue Cry TT
id go peougeot its about the same style almost i think my 306 had a simalar wheel but its also s square badge in the mid so good be b l maybe they had some odd wheels on minis or metros or that little renult 5 thing thats simular
have a look round the breakers locally theres bound to be a load of wheels hanging about
Ill tell you what that looks like to me, early 80 peugeot 305. I know because sadly,,I had one  mine was the bog standard estate, with the fan belt that twisted through 90%,,what a shed Cry
Take it you've seen this?

Doesn't really help though... - other than that there was a black version of the wheel.
How about a Zastava Yugo???
I was thinking of this steering wheel but isn't the same, close though

Also why I'm on here, this has absolutely nothing to do with this subject but my brother is back with his X, she is a nice girl with a lovely personality.

A Van

That is too funny...............!

It has a French look to it, but as many of you are aware its a Leyland rack...it does have a bit of an Austin feel...

Cheers
