Hi all,

Looking for some advice on adjustable suspension - more specifically, systems where you can change the height on demand.
I'm in the process of importing a DeLorean from the US, which has already been lowered to the designed ride height.

Our driveway has a slight peak, where the drive transitions to the drob kerb, then down to the down.

I used to own a 2012 BMW Z4, and when laden with 2 occupants, it would slightly scrape the chassis as it passed over the peak. Obviously I don't want that to happen with the DeLorean!

So... Has anyone installed (or had any experience with) air suspension systems?

I only need to have the front adjustable, and I've seen 2 potential systems available - Air Ride (replacing existing springs entirely), or "Air cups" (that sit atop the existing coilovers).

Both systems are then hooked up to a compressor system (with or without a tank), allowing the front of the car to be raised on the fly. Perfect for passing speed bumps or other undulations.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

We’re seeing if any Back to the Future/DeLorean owners would be interested in bringing their car to our annual party in the Beaulieu area on 27 June 2026.

It’s a well-attended 80s-themed party (around 800–1000 people) with food, music, and activities throughout the evening. You’d have full access to the event, and arrival would be from around 3pm.

If this sounds like something you’d enjoy being part of, please get in touch!

Thanks!

We will be attending a number of events around the country this year to
Personally, I've only been involved with the Club for 25 years, I'm a mere spring

Dear All,

as has been discussed on the WhatsApp group and on the Club Facebook Page,
with the help of Dan Willis we are planning an event in the South of England,
centred around the Motor Museum at Beaulieu, and Goodwood Circuit, home of
the Festival of Speed. There are also plans for a scenic drive along the South Coast.

The plan is to arrange this for the end of September.

If you can let us know if you are interested in this event, please let us know so that
Dan can look into suitable hotels and do further planning.

As this is the Club's 30th Anniversary year, it would be nice to get a good turnout at this
and other events the Club is attending this year.

over the last 11 months or so, its got increasingly quiet on this forum, and that is down
to the success of the WhatsApp group for Club Members.

This forum is still monitored, and member/non members can still post on here, but you
may find there is a delay in getting a response as less folks use this now, as WhatsApp is
more instant.
If you are a Club Member, and you are not on the WhatsApp chat, then contact Chris Williams
if you want to be added to it - secretary@deloreans.co.uk
