i haven't been here for a few years, holidays etc kept me away, but a brilliant turnout of vehicles all well looked after and shining even in the overcast gloom of the Bank Holiday, the sun made an appearance later in the afternoon-people wore coats and gloves in the morning,it was that cold!
Loads of 80s & 90s cars, with the majority being 1950-60 vehicles, a few rarities including a Trabant and a rare Audi Estate with Quattro fitted ( surprised to see a diff lock switch fitted) which was immaculate and the owner had picked up very cheaply.
The DMC had a good time, attracting people even though it was parked up away in a far corner-still amazes me when folk say they've never seen one in the steel before-the mint red Metro I was parked next to was probably rarer than the DeLorean!
A good day, great talking to people, dispelling a few myths and bracing myself for the "Where's the Flux Capacitor, then?"
quips......... Love it

Firstly I’d like to apologise if you have already received this information and/or already registered for the event and secondly, I hope you don’t mind me contacting you like this but I wanted to let you and your members know about an event that I am holding in South Wales called The Big Welsh Classic Car Show to raise funds for blood cancer charity Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research. It’s a new event in a new venue (although some of your members may be aware of the Tredegar Park Vintage Rally and some of our supporters organised that before retiring in 2014) and we are hoping that it will be a fantastic new event on the Classic Car Show calendar.

The Big Welsh Classic Car Show takes place on Sunday 20th of September 2015 at Margam Country Park between 10am – 4pm and we are hoping that we will have 500 classic vehicles displayed. There will also be entertainment, music and an arena parade throughout the day.

I was wondering if you would mind letting your members know about the event to see if anyone would like to attend and exhibit their vehicle? If you book before the 1st of July 2015, then you can take advantage of the early bird booking. Anyone who is interested can register online at www.beatingbloodcancers.org.uk/classiccars or over the phone by calling 020 7504 2215. Alternatively if they would prefer a paper registration form then I’ve attached one that can be printed off and returned to the address on the bottom.

If you wouldn’t mind including it on your events page or in your newsletter – I’d greatly appreciate it.

Many Thanks for your help and if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
Kind Regards
A few stunners here, and a lot more than last September, I thought. A few mentions are the nice Daimler Dart SP250,mk1 Escort and an Opel Gt.
Some great American cars and a few classic Brit bikes contributed to a good show, strange how there's always a few nice cars in the car park who never want to come in.......the 'General Lee' Dodge Charger would have been very welcome as would the Auntie Rover and Porsche 928! 8)

Just a quick plug for this really good local(ish) show- more different and unusual cars than last year again, bitter cold winds froze us all, but a great time otherwise. Lots of old faces and new owners, cars were a credit to them all! Worth a look in if you're in the area.

A really good variety of cars were here on Sunday, types to please everyone from E-type Jags to Opel Manta rally replicas-a sunny day coupled with biting wind did'nt put people off attending this growing event with more cars every year.
My DMC had lots of admirers, a couple told me of one in an auto museum in New Zealand, and if I never hear a flux capacitor remark ever again it'll be too soon......... 8)

Another great day out here, arrived in torrential rain but the skies cleared mid day and the sun shone on a wide variety of classics, some that had travelled a distance to get here. Some fantastic cars, including the Mercedes Con vertible O. C. who had over 15 cars of varying ages, and a good selection of 80s cars. The weather forecast put off quite a few owners as 500 were expected but over 250 turned up, credit to James and the team for sticking with it!

Another fantastic show here in the centre of sunny Prestatyn (yes, it rained) but a great turnout from loads of classics from the 50s,60s,70s and 80s-the rain didnt put people off and I had the doors up on my DMC nearly all day, the sun did shine later in the afternoon tho'. Had a great time here, got chatting to a gent who prepped the DMC s/s panels in the U.K. at British Steels, very informative-I was surprised at the amount of people who have never seen a DMC up close and lost count of how many people asked to have their photo taken in the car! Bit of P.R. there for the club! Try and get along to the next one, its well worth it. 8)

Sorry this mention was late, but I attened this car show in North Wales and was surprised at how good it was-I had only got my Delorean motd and taxed the Wednesday before and only by chance spotted the ad in a web advertisement, emailed the organiser (Mr J Garner) and got an entry form. Sunny day and 250+ cars made for a great day out and got a prize for being the Best Overall Car!
Its held again later on this year on the 19th of September.

I'm booked into this, probably the last show of the year.

Has a fancy dress theme if you fancy it, the majority of the show is indoors, and the proceeds go to charity.

I'll let you know how it goes!
