This is Mike, a non-owning member/enthusiast from Scotland. This year’s Cork International Car Show will take place on Sunday 5th of April 2020, from 11:00am to 4:30pm at The Cork International Hotel, which is sure to be a day of fun for the whole family. Our neighbours at Cork Airport have kindly given us the use of the long-term carpark, which visitors on the day can access via our hotel.
 
Entry will be €5 for adults and free entry for children. We will offer various activities over the day including kids’ entertainment, if the weather allows.
 
For any exhibitors who wish to arrive on the Saturday evening prior to the event, we will be offering a competitive special rate on bedrooms and will have a secure car park for you to park your car overnight.

If you or any of your members are interested in taking part, please do let me know and I will then send you through a booking form so that we can get each bike details for the show in advance.

Our kind neighbours at Cork Airport are giving use of the long term carpark which is accessed via our hotel for the weekend.
 
The plan is to run the event from 11am-4pm on the Sunday.
 
Adults will be €5 entry and children will be free. We will have various activities over the day including some outdoor music if the weather is on our side.
 
For those that wish to arrive on the Saturday evening, we will have live music and some complimentary finger food for exhibitors. We will obviously have security in the car park as it is a secure zone being part of the airport so cars can park there from the Saturday afternoon.
 
I just wondered if you would be able to circulate this to your members and revert back to me with a guide number of exhibitors.
 
I am just looking to initially get an expression of interest before I compile a list of competitors and exhibitors for the show. After you revert to me, I will then send you through a booking form so that we can get each cars details for the show in advance.

Hello Folks,

Did anyone of you lot trash the toilets or have a nice, embroidered set of towels & shower gowns ! ~ I'm only joking;

but we have been "gazumped" by the Slieve Donard. They were looking for an extra big slice of money & hinting that their rooms were filling up fast.

Anyway, I wasn't impressed with the rooms or the food. (As it was supposed to be a 5* hotel, we hadn't asked to see the rooms, when we booked it !)

So; we have looked around & found another hotel, which is in Donegal. The Redcastle Oceanfront, Golf & Spa Hotel.

We have had very good reports on this one & I hope it is not too far away for yourselves.

See attached Flyer which is being Emailed to all area leaders & being sent out with the April mag.

If you are going to come, please reserve ASAP, as it seems that most hotels over here are getting a lot of bookings for that time of year.

We intend just to visit the frontage of the building for a photo shoot, have a look around the start of the old track; then go over to Crossle Racing Cars factory for a tout & then onto the Ulster Folk & Transport Museum.

We would be coming from the Giants Causeway Hotel, up north & would like to join up with any members at the "Portview Inn", Dargan Road, Belfast; & from there, drive over to Dunmurry.

My name is Jonathan and I represent the Irish Festival of Speed.

The Irish Festival of Speed, for those not aware, is a new event which will be held on the grounds of Adare Manor in Co. Clare for the first time this August Bank holiday weekend (July 31st). It celebrates the engine in all its forms, with planes, supercars, racing cars, helicopters and bikes being the main attractions. The Festival will also commemorate the 1936 Limerick "Round The Houses" Grand Prix and highlight some of the rich racing heritage in the region.

We will have some very special and unique cars at the event but we have not yet had any DeLorean owners apply to display. Seeing as the Festival will be a uniquely Irish event, to not have DeLoreans would be a real shame. Dunlop tyres are the lead sponsor of the Festival and Charles Hurst Belfast in conjunction with Maserati are also involved. As I'm sure many of you know, John Boyd-Dunlop first started the company in Belfast and we would love to have Belfast's other motoring icon at the Festival.

So if any owners of show quality cars would like to display theirs at the Festival, please get in touch and we can have a chat. Some other owner clubs (Morgan, Alfa, Maserati, BMW, etc) will be attending as groups and in return we will have designated specific parking areas for these clubs on the day, so if the DOC would like to attend en masse, this can also be arranged.

Some other owner clubs (Morgan, Alfa, Maserati, BMW, etc) will be attending as groups and in return we will have designated specific parking areas for these clubs on the day, so if the DOC would like to attend en masse, this can also be arranged.

This time it will be held on Friday August 20th to Sunday August 22nd. Once again our base for the weekend will be the fabulous 4 star Knightsbrook Hotel, Spa and Golf Resort, trim, county meath. We will be staying in the luxurious holiday homes on site each with their own space for your delorean!!

As before everyone in the delorean community is more than welcome to attend.

As this is a busier time of year, early booking will be essential.To book your place please ring the hotel on 00 353 46 9482100 and ask for reservations. Please advise on booking that you are part of the delorean group in order to get charged the discounted rate.
Credit card will be needed to secure the booking although it will not be charged. The price will include b & b on both night(s) and a 3 course meal on the Saturday night.

The rates for the hotel are the same as last year;
per person:
one night – 72.50euro, for b+b and dinner on the saturday night.
2 nights - 110euro, for b+b both mornings and dinner on saturday night.

Per couple:
one night – 145euro, for b+b and dinner on the saturday night.
2 nights - 220euro, for b+b both mornings and dinner on the saturday night

As most will be aware 2011 will be the 30th Anniversary of the deLorean motor car. To celebrate this very special event another Eurofest event is to be held in Northern Ireland. This promises to be a very special event and for those who remember the last one I'm sure you would agree that it is an interesting, memorable and poignant event. The DOC is currently in talks with the European clubs to try and make this event as accessible and cost effective as possible. Although we are still some time away from this event in order to try and get possible discounts on ferries and accomodation then an idea of numbers attending would be appreciated. The more Deloreans we can get travelling together with ourselves joining up with the cars travelling across from across the channel the more discount we may be able to get.
