Hi Chris,

I’m Jack, the editorial assistant at Absolute Lotus magazine. 

I got in contact because we’re looking for a DeLorean DMC-12 for a twin test (with the Tesla Roadster) for an upcoming issue of Absolute Lotus. We’ve secured a Tesla now, but we’re still on the lookout for a DeLorean (we had one secured, but that sadly fell through because of our new chosen location). Due to the Tesla’s lack of range we are looking to do the shoot around the South Downs/Surrey. Might you be able to put me into contact with any local owners that might be interested in having their car featured? 

We’re aiming to do the shoot the week beginning the 21st of June. As well as taking photos the journalist will need to drive the car (it’ll be around 20mins for driving impressions) and will be fully insured through us. This will be a main feature, so it will a prominent position on the cover  – also the owner will receive all the professional shots we take on the day as a way of thanks.

After 6 months of massively overhauling my Delorean and drastically improving the accuracy of the Time Machine aspects, I am now pleased to say that it is available for hire in Essex, Kent, London and further afield (by consideration). I am available for any type of work including Weddings (chauffeur driven), TV/Film, Conventions and Charity.

We all know what features a time machine should have, but I will list them anyway:
  • Working time circuits
  • Flux capacitor that…..fluxes! 
  • Digital Speedo with a ‘demo’ mode for hitting 88mph without getting a ticket!
  • Time Circuits On Switch that brings everything to life with the turn of a handle.
  • Status Identification Display (or SID) that can be programmed to scroll messages along its LED display
  • Plutonium Gauges that can be placed in ‘empty’ mode with the correct warning lights and sounds.
  • Mr Fusion that openes and makes the correct sounds.
  • Interior smoke machine! Fill the car with smoke, open the doors and make everyone believe you have just been back to the future!
  • Exterior CO2 discharge from the rear vents. Just like the movie, large plumes of high pressure smoke can be ejected from the rear vents!
  • Actual SCREEN USED parts from a real time machine!
  • Discreet signatures from cast on sun visors.

Every year we cater for about 30 persons with disabilities and have a theme that runs through the week. This year our theme is 'Back to the Future'. 

As part of the activities through the week we would very much love to get a Delorean to come up onto the site so the campers can get to see one. 

Are there Delorean owners local to Farnham that I could be put in contact with, with a view to seeing if anyone is available to come up with their vehicle?

We are showing Ready Player One on Saturday 2nd of may for imax film festival at Cineworld Cheltenham. We are absolutely desperate to try and get a DeLorean between 12:00-15:00. Preferably a BTTF replica, but if not any would be greatly appreciated! It will be static in the brewery quarter for people to have pictures with. We can set up a barrier to keep grubby hands at bay.
