I think this is important because sometimes I see lots of guests online as opposed to registered users...

So who is looking at our information? Friends, Foes? Basically any Tom Dick or Harry!

In my opinion everyone registered should sign in to view, post, and participate.

The forum is a bonus of being a member of the club and it can still remain free to anyone.

But let's protect our privacy, and new users should be required to state their interest in the car/community before being accepted.

You will now notice at the top and bottom of each topics page you will see a facebook "like" link that you can click and it will post the topic title on facebook along with your own little bit of writing. I have tested this on mine and it works

We have now transferred the domain and uploaded all of the web files.

I have configured the forum on the deloreans.co.uk but will have to export the data from this current forum and re-import to the new forum. I will do this task sometime this week when I have a chance.

If this has positive feedback then I will set up the forum so it will parse your forum username across.

If you are using pop-up blockers then you will have to temporarily allow scripting to enable your name to be entered at this early stage.

Make sure your photo will fit on the screen without people having to scroll around. The easiest way to do this is to use windows explorer to find your photo. It should show the image dimensions (width x height), if the height is more than 500 then resize the image so the height is a maximum of 500. From windows explorer right click on the photo and select open with open with and then Microsoft image composer. From the tools menu select arrange, then amend the scale to have height of 500 and press apply. The select file and ‘save as’ to save the resized image.

You now need to put the photo on the web, if you don’t have your own web site your best bet is to use www.photobucket.com or any photo hosting site where you do not have to be signed in to view other people’s photos (ie not yahoo).

The transfer will be done this afternoon from 14:30 and should be active before 19:00 if all the export/ reimport SQL data transfer goes to hand.

The majority of the work has been done in conjunction with myself and Tristan last night and this morning to minimise disruption with this hopefully seamless transfer.

The new forum will work in the same way as before.

ALL data will be transferred which is why this forum will be locked/ closed down during this short interim.

Once the forum is back up please let us know if something has been missed using the Forum Error Reporting Forum or email me at

Please be constructive in your errors giving as much detail as possible.
