How does the PNDR work from the shift cable
#1
So after a decade or two stood I am trying to get my little baby back together!

Transmission wise I am advised that you can make direction shifts with the cable with the cable when out if the car?

Cable rotates no issue but no forward back movement.

Inside trans us like this, can I make manual changes to check basic P N DR work?

The bellcrank reverses it, of course, so P which is fully forward relates to the cable pushing fully back and vice versa. Next position out is then R and so on.

I found you have to be relatively firm with it as there's quite a lot of leverage on the shifter...
