I know I must be slow, but just found this after it was mentioned on the Eurofest topic.

They are making great progress, in Thailand now.
India sounded as crazy as I remember.
Anyone else thinking of meeting them in Kent? Convoyyyy!!!!!

Can be annoying but, that's the thing about Oz, they decide what and who comes into their country.
As opposed to our method of 'if you get here, you're in'!

I was reading comments on the Australian DeLorean Facebook page, and one of the German guys commented
that they are happy to comply with Australia's strict laws on foreign 'flora and fauna' etc not contaminating
the countries unique ecosystem.  It would appear that organic matter has got stuck in the frame en-route to
Oz, hence why the cars are being checked over at quarantine, just like any other import, no matter how
temporary.
