For Sale: VIN 4463, Grey, Manual, Surrey
#1
Offered for sale at £35,000 is our beautiful 1981 DeLorean DMC-12. The car is an October 1981 build, with grey interior, manual transmission, and with the much sought after grooved bonnet.

Imported from California to the UK in September 2014, the car was restored over a period of 7 months and is in stunning condition inside and out, as can be seen from the pictures. It passed it's first UK MOT in May 2015 and has just been registered with the DVLA. The stainless bodywork has been re-brushed to showroom standard by leading DeLorean marque specialist, Chris Nicholson.

VIN: 4463
UK registration number: SVR 599W.
Current mileage: c.35,000 miles

Being from a dry state, the chassis is in excellent, rust free condition. The engine starts on the button, has ample power output thanks to the unnecessary catalytic converter being removed, and the refurbished brakes perform well. The doors open and close smoothly, and will open to full extension without manual assistance.

Please see below for a full list of work performed on the car, and the dropbox link for an extensive number of photographs detailing all areas of the vehicle.

Yep, I'd echo what Chris has said there. Looks like a cracking car and clearly a lot of hard work has gone into it. Hope the car stays local as it would be good to have a few more owners in Surrey/Sussex/Kent.

I count at least 9 cars recently with SVR prefixes on their plates (assuming the prefix still refers to the same geographical area).

since the closure of the DVLA local offices, all the newly imported cars seem to have SVR plates
on them, no matter where they are based.

Shame the owner is selling this car, rather then enjoying it after all the hard work put into it.

certainly looks worthy of its show winning status! Smile

Maybe try a classic car auction - is the NEC holding one this year on
classic car show weekend?
