Stainless expansion tank and fuel sender unit wanted
#1
Hi All,

I just wondered if anyone had, or could point me in the direction of how to get a stainless expansion tank? I know Ed sells them but wondering if there was a cheaper supplier? Had a couple of plastic ones and both cracked below the cap.

Also has anyone got a new fuel tank sender unit? Probably not but though I'd ask?

Cheers

John's over at SpecialT auto's have a good reputation (S/Tanks) http://www.specialtauto.com/delorean-pa ... ystem.html but I don't know if they are any cheaper than Ed's ones.
He also does a cheap sender unit on it's own @ $99: http://www.specialtauto.com/delorean-pa ... ystem.html I did have one that I did not end up using but since sold it, it works OK but the gauge fluctuates a lot whilst driving cornering. OK when your on the level or motorways though!

I can recommend Eds tanks, fitted one myself a good few years back no problems. I did purchase a cheaper 'custom' made one but it nearly wrecked my engine-stick with a recognised and trusted supplier, it's not worth it trying to save a few quid. 8)
#10556 'Ol Stainless' running surprisingly well,Audi A5 2.0T Quattro smug as usual,Wenault Slaguna stationary for the mo',the R.V.Enterprise clocking the U.K.miles up,new fleet addition-Jessica the Daewoo Matiz,silly but 55mpg....!

I have a delorean.com sender that is sat idle in my spare room, if you're still looking for one.

Send me a PM if you're interested.

Cheers, I've gone for one of Ed's Stainless one now, in fact I forgot that when my plastic one cracked he said I could have the price I paid for that off of a stainless one so not as bad a hit as it could have been. Very good of him to honour that a year or so after I told him!

Thanks very much Mark, I definitely would have had it but found a DeLorean.com one and ordered it. cheers though!

I'm having my fuel injection overhauled by KMI at the moment so hopefully in a week or so, I'll have my auto back on the road running, cooling and telling me how much fuel I have perfectly!
