Very nice Karl

looks like you've got a good one! Big Grin

Stainless Exhaust,
Adjustable shocks
metal expansion bottle
just for starters

From what I can see in the few pictures, the PO certainly cared for the car and made some good choices.

Well Done

Cheers guys, no pic of Mrs though Chris.......

Well th D is here, I've had a walk round and spotted some bits straight away.
I think plan is to do bits that are needed for mot, tidy interior and spray bumpers/fascias.

If I can find away to post my new iPad video you can see for your self, but shopping list,to start,is...........

Replacement window switch. Anyone switched in those new flash lights up ones want to sell their minty passenger one?
Fog light set up, thinking of going the temporary/mot way, does tell-tale have to be on dash?
Wing mirror glass replacement, passenger/off-side completely knackered, I'm guessing curved would be better. Where from?
Dash and pod, in a bad way, Prefer to repair? How? If not, Best replacements?
Passenger seat back, again anyone replacing their complete set but have a good back?
Air inlet pipe work, from filter to wing inlet, guessing it has some water catchment system. Anyone got one?
Left indicator dash warning light doesn't work, changeable? Easy?o
Oil pressure gauge is pointing straight up. There is power as it wobbles on engine start but remains pointing straight up. Where to look first?

Think that's enough to be starting with, don't you?
Don't expect things to move too quick, getting it in the garage felt like a 16 hr shift to me!
Happy New Year everyone!!!

No, can be an illuminated switch.

Ed at delorean Europe or Tom at Deloreana.com

try and find a local trimmer can be the cheapest way. New dash's are available from Ed, Binnacles due sometime but can be re-trimmed.

not sure what you mean? there is of sorts but that's in the rear pontoon, maybe your looking at an old cold/hot air flow valve?

If you have child size hands possible from underneath (I'm told) best to remove binnacle though.

Round metal thing to the side of the oil filter has one wire going to it, usually this.

Great video Karl.

The "thingy" on the rear engine bay bulkhead that you say has a cover missing, doesn't. That's how they are. The plunger switch on the same bracket looks stuck down. Its a switch for your boot light. Made by GM its a Vauxhall nova glove box light switch, still available at any Vauxhall dealer about £4.
The volt meter needle is sitting too low? it may have spun on the spindle. I'd get a voltmeter on the car to see if its charging. Its possible the 10V your seeing on the gauge is 13V and the needle has just moved.

The new dashes are reasonably priced in comparison to repairing yours, in the end it'll cost about the same if your paying a trimmer, plus the new dashes will always look better around the speaker holes.
The Binnacles can be repaired or recovered. There s no NOS available, but plenty of places to get an exchange re covered one.

Great car you have there.

Now I have had chance to look at your video (as Darren wrote) really is a great looking car you have. The pipe that's missing from the air filter used to have a hot/cold/ air intake thingy there. All you need to do is find a suitable piece of flexi air hose to join the two together. You will probably find the battery is U/S (wont like the cold UK) that may be the first thing to change.

I'm picking up a retrimmed interior from Lee Pattison (well known trimmer and has worked on many delorean interiors over the years) in a couple of weeks, I'll take you some pictures when I get them back here.

In comparison to the state of the ones I gave to Lee, yours should be easily repairable.

Damn Mike that looks nasty, is it water damage?
Can you give me an idea of costs compared to new?

On the dash it's mostly sun damage (except the speaker grills which someone in their wisdom cut out), and the binnacle is anyones guess, both had a poor attempt by a previous owner at recovering them, this is them before we stripped off the recoverings on them:

Smile Isn't it just. It's that good it could almost be mistaken for OEM.
