Grey/Manual DeLorean for sale
#1
Have been asked to help sell a car for a member, it's a very clean grey/manual 1983 stored for the last 8 years in Ireland, so all taxes etc are paid. I have been in contact with a few of our club members who have expressed an interest. The seller is keen to sell but does not want endless tyre kickers/phone calls/emails so has asked me to find someone with the money who will just buy it and look after it. The price is 26,000 euros (firm, not open to negotiation) and is keen that this goes to a DOC club member only. If any one wants more info please contact me off line or via 'pm' not via this thread.

Now with more info:
Car was imported 10 years ago by a neighbour of mine from Canada as a business settlement. He already had a 81 Delorean as part of his car collection so the car arrived, customs cleared & parked in a clean heated garage. Last week we removed the car from the garage fitted a new fuel pump/clean tank/filter & free'd out the brakes. The car hasn't even been cleaned...it is as is the day it was parked up 10 years ago.

There is no dents / rust with and interior in excellent condition. The windows will need working as not been used for so long, full tune up leads/cap etc etc. as its ticking over a little erratic. The aircon pump is seized solid locked up when we first started it up...so we removed the belt.

This is an honest straight car that has concours potential with a little work.

Ok heres the conditions ...I have spoken to the owner the car will sell at 26,000 Euro, there will be 'strictly' no haggling. We will run any timewasters from the door. The car is as straight as the conditions of sale.

UK buyers this is how we can help out....

Fly into Dublin airport we will collect a serious potential buyer from the airport and take them to Co Kildare (50mins) from the airport. If they wish to purchase the car wire transfer or cash in Euro. The new owner can drive the car home if they wish or the car can be taken to http://www.nvd.ie/ for shipping to UK door step the new owners doorstep via transporter costs about £300 stg ...National Vehicle Distributor are 20miles from us.

As per the video clearly it's a Canadian car with metric instruments, no doubt things will need changing/fixing/improving (as with any DeLorean that's been in storage) but should be a good basis for a nice car with a bit of work.

I kinda hope it sells, as it all helps the prices for those of us who have fully sorted/running cars. But, that seems like a fair bit of wedge for a car that is going to need further cash throwing at it to make it actually usable.

good news Chris, and great that the car is staying in the DOC-UK.

Is it coming to the mainland or staying in the Emerald Isle?
