Dear Sir/Madam. My name is JJ and I am a trustee of The 1st Sensory Legion, a charity that runs an event each year called Feel the Force Day. This year it will be taking place on 18th October at the Kingsgate Conference Centre in Peterborough. Feel The Force Day is the only film and TV convention in the World designed for sensory impaired and disabled people. Most conventions are difficult and impractical for disabled people, so we have tailored ours to enable people to access the world of film and TV in their own way. We use props and toys for visually impaired people to discover and learn about the film and TV related subjects - these items have become invaluable and play a huge part in our event. Our last event attracted over 400 disabled people and we had to turn people away, so this year we have a huge venue and have been advertising nationally. We design our days for people aged two years and upwards and this year we are expecting over 2,000 visitors with a range of disabilities. The day is attended by star of stage and screen, Warwick Davis and we will also have a broad selection of film and TV guests making appearances on the day. Film and TV cars are, for many of our guests, their favourite part of any convention. We are a small charity and Feel the Force Day is run on a minimal budget meaning we cannot afford to hire cars at their standard rates. We can often cover the expenses of traveling to our events and provide refreshments while you are with us.
