According to the rest of the exploded view, it's an M4 self tapper:

I just had mine off last week. I resorted to just screwing in whichever self tappers I had which would bite and screw in without excess pressure. I think I ended up with m5 self tappers in the end. There is supposed to be a retained welded insert for the screw to bit into, but the left side one of mine has always been missing (torn off?) so I had to use a slightly oversized screw in that hole since the proper size won't bite, so just keeps falling out. I've lost two stainless screws so far because of this. Problem is then that I can't get the unicap to fit over the screws I've used...

It's supposed to be an M4 machine screw, not a self tapping.

If you have to use a self tapper, then like Chris' either the threads are knackered, or the nut that is welded to the bracket has come off...

In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are not.

Sorry. My mistake. I got a bit trigger happy with the "self tappers". I meant machined. I'm not blind, honest. Lol!
