No worries Rob. I just had a moaning from a few owners when I did that which surprised me. I would think any positive Delorean exposure would be good.

Like I said in my above posts, it's a shame I didn't have the bumpers done and a few other bits but it still looked great! Smile

whats it about? The show title is a bit non descript, and if I was flicking through my EPG on
the telly I probably wouldnt look twice at what it was.

Go into a room, they make an offer and you accept or move to the next. Once you leave, you can't go back in. I had no intention what so ever to sell at that point, just a laugh. Their top offer was barely more than a stock Delorean as they are dealers and didn't have a clue about Deloreans but the banter was good.

One thing I did enforce was that an excellent stock DeLorean would go for between £20-30k which is true especially for a RHD. It should at least help with values for owners!

One of the rooms was a complete shock to me in that I was expecting him to love it to bits, but it turned out he was the one who hated them as he previously owned one that was clearly a bag of spanners. My blank reaction after his build up demonstrates my confusion, I remember it well!

Are you allowed to say who this was, out of interest? or do we have to wait?
Either way as you say it's all good PR and it will be nice to see your car on the telly box!

I'm not allowed to say I'm afraid Chris :-(

I can say that he gave a great build up story for the car which is why I was even more baffled with his poor offer. As soon as the room finished, I spoke with him and he told me the reason behind it. He had a very bad experience with one and now just thinks they're all as bad. There was no convincing him, those richies all know best don't they?

So now that the dealers have been announced on their episode guide, I can post a few piccies

They all be wanting a photo with the Air Mags (not me)

Jeff is one of the most awesome guys you will meet. He comes across as an arse on the show and very direct, but he was the only one to chat like we'd known each other for years after recording. Cracking bloke.

Anita ain't that bad either!

Well done to Luke on his performance, thought he did very well despite the room people not being very realistic about the car and in one case very negative, we know it's a great car in reality.

Agreed.

Well done Luke.

I think he portrayed the car in a good light but the dealers had no idea what they are worth, nor a stock car by the seems of it.

The publicity is great though, that's 3 programs covering the car on one channel today alone.

Cheers Chris! Thanks to all for the support, I'm glad I was allowed to credit Bruce but was a little gutted my comments on healthy prices for stock Deloreans wasn't used. Now that it has been aired, I'd like to 'air' something myself. He who shall not be named, is the reason for the low offers. Let me explain. Grab a cuppa:

They contacted (I almost said w@nky then, oops..) 'him' and asked for his opinion/evaluation, with the thought of 'he's a fan too, he'll give an accurate figure surely'. He basically told them it was worth £15k, which was fed back to the dealers. Had I been offered realistic money on the show, I would have likely accepted for convenience and moved on having lived my dream for a few years.

Once I found out the reason for the confusing offers (big mouthed, gloaty email from 'him') I decided to offer my friendly assistance by knocking his site down the ranks for my amusement, and passed off many events to fellow owners, mostly Brian! Having being top of Google, most of the enquiries came from down south and I couldn't be bothered travelling but I knew a top lad over that way who would please the crowds!!

I then decided to really dig deep and really polish off the looks of the car. A true fan then came to me and is now fulfilling his dream, and it worked out better for me anyway.

For all that, I'd like to offer my thanks to a certain butthead for not only helping me, but for devaluing his own car. An epic fail for the history books and another twisted sign of his own doubt for his barely working car. A win for us all Smile

But why did they not then question it having got a realistic valuation from me? thats what I cant understand.
