It was a pair of 11 inch fans which we mounted directly to the rad using this fixing kit:

You just need to reverse the fan within the housing so it draws air through the radiator. Instructions are included.
The 11 inch fans fitted neatly within the peripheral edge if the radiator. As for threading the ties through the rad fins- all you are doing is bending some very thin metal slightly sideways to accommodate the shank of the plastic tie. There is no risk of damaging the actual core of the radiator. Anyway did this and is doing the job nicely.

That's interesting, I have just fitted this kit from DPI:
http://delorean.gostorego.com/new-produ ... grade.html the fans look very similar even the sticker on the bottom, be interested to get a close up of that. On another note I also found my rad to be leaking so purchased one from Ed. Is that what you have?
