Determined to rectify this low fuel spluttering.....

It's not just Spratty I''ve heard it from either Chris.

Rich H confirmed this yet unless the check valve is somewhere between the top of the pump and the flexi line in the way of a brass fitting either side of the banjo bolt, then I have no idea where else it could be located.

It's odd though because only one pump is listed in any parts catalog and the only check valves listed relate to air con and auto transmission. Maybe I'm looking for something that doesn't exist!

If it turns out it is integrated then I might invest in a new pump.

The more info I can gather on this though, the better so thanks Chris!!

The ckeck valve is in the top of the pump. On earlier pumps it was integral and can be identified by a hollow bolt being used to attach the high pressure hose. Later (most) cars have an interchangeable check valve which screws in and over which the fuel hose is placed to be secured by a domed nut. You have the latter in this photo

Thanks for that Martin.

Got this bit cleaned up and ready to fit now with all new hardware.

Should get it back in the car in the next few weeks!
