DeLorean Convention Belgium 2014
#1
After the great succes of the first edition, we decided to try our hands on a second edition in 2014. The date is May 29th - June 1th 2014.

We have again chosen Bruges as the base for a 3 day get together and have planned a program with lots of diversity wich we hope will please everybody.

We hope to see a lot of familiar faces (and plenty of new ones!) to our event!

More details have yet to be confirmed but will follow as soon as they're ready ...

A little update:

When & Where?

We start on thursdayevening May 29th and close the convention on sundayafternoon June 1st.

The base will again be the excellent Brugotel (http://www.brugotel.be/) wich will grant us special prices for this convention.

Program

The program will be different from 2012, allthough we keep the saturday gathering on the Burg in the centre of Bruges in light of the exclusive, stunning location and huge turn-up of people we had there.

We’ll organise visits, drives, dinner and lunches in locations all over Flanders, with a maximum radius of 1 hour driving from Bruges.

Taxis will again be available for evening dinners so you don’t have to drive and enjoy our excellent beers & wines.

Updates will be available on Facebook and our website.

Registration

Thanks to sponsors we were able to reduce our registration fee with 25%: it is now set at 99€ per person. This includes:

- Thursday, friday and saturday evening dinners
- Insurrance for the Burg site
- Goodie bags
- Admin, etc…

When can we register?

Keep an eye on our Facebook page: Delorean Convention Belgium 2014 (https://www.facebook.com/groups/206701506034945/ ) or (to be updated) website http://www.deloreanclubbelgium.eu

By October a registration form with instructions and details will be available there.

A little update:

Due to major constructing plans we had to choose an alternative hotel wich has become the 4**** "Leonardo" in Bruges, very popular with car clubs for their ample accommodations and discreet parkingspaces away from public roads.
We have established even better rates than last time and they have agreed to open the outdoor swimmingpool a few days earlier, specially for our event.
Registration forms are on their way!

A quick reminder that you can still register for our DCB-14 event ( May 29th - June 1th 2014 ). Inscriptions have been a bit slow at the moment, but maybe that's been because of the holidays or the cold temperatures, who knows ...

Anyway ...

I'm honored to annouce Neal Barclay and Joe Murray have just confirmed they will join our event! They were our VIP's in the 2012 edition and of course will be the stars again! For those who don't know them (you should be ashamed if you don't!) they witnessed the Delorean story unfold as they worked at the DMC factory back in the Eighties.

UPDATE (for those who are interested, because for some reason there's little to no reply here)

In the event the Leonardo Hotel is fully booked, but we have an alternative at the same pricelevel, close to the first venue.

Hi Andy,

much as we'd love to do one of your Belgium events one year, it clashes with
our holiday in France this time round.

Best wishes for a successful event!

Quick question: is this thread blocked from other viewers? Or is just nobody interested in coming to Belgium?

For reference; I'd love to attend, but my work schedule won't allow it this year Sad

Same applies here too I'm afraid - since my last trip overseas in my deLorean (2011 to Eurofest), two baby boys have appeared and unfortunately two additonal seats haven't...

I'm afraid foreign travel is off the cards for me for about the next ten years! (In a 2-seat car, anyway!)

Time on/ with the car is very much a luxury to be grabbed after bedtime these days, and with the best will in the world you can't describe my wife as a car enthusiast!

I would love to spend the time and come over, I really would, but I'm afraid it just can't be done these days!

I'm afraid I'm in the same boat as Rich, 3 young kids and shift work means my weekends are very few and far between. Saving up for Eurofest (if it happens)
