Wanted: Dead Delorean
#16
Check them out, this is their site. They are local to me.

http://www.douglasvalley.co.uk/

I've had Porsche and Chevy parts off them too.

Ive never seen desert car kings, as i dont have sky, or anything like that, i dont really watch much TV to be honest, but if its car related, i'll have to check it out Big Grin

A bit of good new on the delorean search for me, I've been in contact with Ed at delorean.eu, and he said he might have just the car in around 9 weeks time. Mr Green so looks like he's shipping some over from the US.

I've been cleaning out the garage, and selling some cars to make way for it.

Anyone want to buy an Opel Manta GTE, or Beach Buggy? Mr Green

the front panel/grille/lights which is in my avatar, what is the front end known as? as ive seen a few pics of car with that type of front, rather than the usual 4 headlights and slatted grille.

Probably best to ask this over on DMCtalk in the US as there really the only ones that customise the cars to any extent. http://dmctalk.org/forum.php Not aware of any in the UK like this.

The clear headlight covers and 'ground effects' body kit are standard items. I have the headlight covers; I think they're out of production right now but come up for sale occassionally. The body kit is available from DMCH and some other vendors. AFAIK the solid grill replacement is a custom item, but it wouldn't be hard to make, basically just a cut sheet of plastic.

Painted silver? That screams 'major panel damage : too cheap to fix it properly so filler + paint'.

oooooh sweet Big Grin cheers Guinney!

I dunno wether to wait and see what Ed is bringing back over in a couple of months time, or to import one from the US?

it would be a lot easier to just wait and take my truck and trailer over, and drag one back over, while treating the wife to a little holiday in Amsterdam... hmmm...

Brave man. Are you going to repaint or take it back to stainless?

it'll be going back to stainless Big Grin

Just need the guy to confirm he has the title papers, etc. before i send him the deposit.

He seems ok with selling it to someone in the UK, so thats cool.

Not necessarily, but certainly a possibility. There have been a few cars stripped back to SS recently with minimal to no damage, except that caused by the prep work for the painting.
