lets hope the purchaser actually gets in touch….finds the chassis IS Ok, then follows through and buys it!

Poor old Andrew has been well mucked about by 'dreamers'.

Yep, the good thing about EBay is that it gets your advert out to a massive audience, the bad thing a lot are dreamers/drunk/any number of other reasons that people have for backing out. There is no comeback for the seller either I'm afraid.

Andrews is back on.   http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/182106235478?_...EBIDX%3AIT

It a good straight, low mileage car…well worth a look at , he's near Ilkeston in Derbyshire.  He also has a similar Auto 'fixer-upper', now running, he may sell as is.
If anyone is seriously interested I can pass on his phone number to you.

BEWARE
This car (see two posts above) is back on EBay with a 'buy it now' of £6500 I suspect that it's a fraudulent add. Everything about it scream wrong. PLEASE don't part with any money thinking your getting a bargain

Chris

This car has been on ebay twice, with a different ebay user ID, and is still on 2 car and classic sites for different prices, one at 24,500, and 28,000. I was in touch with the seller who is in Scotland a couple of weeks before we bought our one from Guildford. Alarm bells rang for us and after reading your forum, we decided against viewing it.

Its back on again after not reaching its reserve last time.   http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Delorean-Dmc-1...2132870159?

Nothing dodgy about this car. its just a project car that needs straightforward work and a bit of money spent on it. I've seen it and know Andrew well.

It over its reserve now so its on sale.  A cheap car for someone, but needing a bit of work.

I'd strongly suggest that folk take them-selves over to Ilkeston (between Derby and Nottingham) and view it.

His other car is 'ready to go'….a great shame about all the di*k heads who mucked him about on eBay! Angry

Vin 537 on EBay, asking 18k, needs serious amount of work mind. IMHO better off spending another 10k and get yourself a decent car.:

It doesn't look a lot different…looks as if its been in a shunt, then stood for a very long time…do we know how much Beverly hills car club originally got for it?

Its certainly in poor condition probably be best to break the car for parts it wouldn't  be worth getting involved to restore unless you bought it for 10k

Plenty of cars have been bought for £10K or less in the recent past……its surprising what can happen when you march up to view it, with a substantial cash deposit in your pocket!….I speak from experience.
