Dead RPM / fuel pump relay
#1
Does anyone have one? I'm thinking of doing the electronic RPM relay mod, but I'd rather not trash a working one if I can avoid it.

These are easily repairable, you don't need to buy a new one....

In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are not.

I don't have one at all at the moment (car is being built up from parts). Options are try to find an original one, get one of the later Volvo style or go for the electronic version but the last option needs a relay body. I'm asking if anyone else happens to have a dead one, as then I could use the shell for the electronic conversion.

I'm having a similar problem with finding an idle ECU - over here, Rich fixes them all so there's no such thing as a "donor". You could ask him for the PCB alone and attach a flying lead & connector.

I assume you are looking at getting some of Dave M's upgraded parts?

If so, your best bet would be to try and source a used relay from someone in the US (dmc talk or ebay). I picked up a fuel pump relay and idle ecu for $50 inc shipping to Dave.
