Quote:Out of interest, who else is visiting the railway museum on Friday?
It's my plan, but have 165 miles travel to do first (or 160miles on the back of an AA truck) Plus wife/kids. I'm sure Chris Hawes and his good lady were going via the NRM as well according to an earlier posting IIRC. I have to go past York anyway so the plan was to stop.

I wont be making it to NRM. It's 90 mins further south west from the Hotel, and since i'm approaching from a northerly direction, it would be severely out of my way after driving right past the hotel, just to spend 30mins there before turning back to head all the way back up to the hotel again. I decided against it. I'll be arriving at the hotel between 3pm and 4pm I reckon. So time for a nice chilled out drink sitting out in the ......rain.
Yup, looking at the weather forecast, we'll be doused in rain the entire time. So bring your brollies, and your protective water proof shielding for the more particular ones out there not wanting to get your car wet.

I won't be making it to the Railway Museum either I'm afraid.
Will be leaving Milton Keynes at 6am Saturday and proceeding straight to Ravenhall Hotel. Should be joining everyone there at around 10am if all goes well.

it had better ruddy not rain, the forecast on Countryfile the other night looked

Ah well, we'll have a good time whatever the weather!

I'm going to the NRM, so at least I won't be on my own.

After chatting to RichH yesterday both me and Chet will be driving up in 10719 on the Saturday. Not sure what time we'll get there, so it might be either Whitby or Goathland. What time are people thinking of making a move from Goatland to to Whitby?
Be nice to see everyone. Last time I saw anyone from the DOC I didn't own a DeLorean at all! Can't belive it's been nearly a year!

Chris, if you are heading to the museum, let me know.
We're likely to be traveling the same roads on the way up so if there's any trouble then I can be around to jump start/help push/tow?

which car is Andy Westerman driving Chris?
Mark, I think the plan is to leave Goathland early afternoon and head up to Whitby and park
up at the Abbey - I guess it depends how long some of us are on the NYMR trains for enjoying
the chance to take in the scenery.
Safe journey everyone, no matter when you head off or what route you take x

Well I have RichH number so I'll text him when we get closer and see where everyone is. That way I won't turn up at Gaothland and find everyone gone. Also depends what time we leave.

Yes please. Looking forward to seeing everyone and bringing the car to its first DOC meet.
I'm also going to bring some of the clocks and replacement lenses I've made for people to see or buy. I'll have to do a special Summer event price. 8)
