RAF BF Airshow at East Kirkby, Lincs, Sat 15th Sept 2012
#16
the rate for 'passengers in a show car' is £13.50, so I assume thats the standard rate.

Latest from their website on the events happening on the day:

Lancaster taxy run times may have to change slightly depending on the flying programme

This is our annual full airshow and is run in partnership with the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund to help raise funds for work with injured service men and women. We have limited tickets to 4000 so it is vital that you try and buy your tickets early. We are happy to say that we have been able to secure some of the best displays in the country so the audience should not be dissapointed! It is imperative that all those who are planning coming to the event do buy their tickets before hand so that they can gain entry to the site.

We will have re-enactors, Lancaster taxy runs, trade stalls, vintage cars, Military vehicles and much more to give you an excellent family day out.

What are the costs? This seems very unclear. And why do exhibiting cars have to pay at all?????????

I think because this year its a full airshow for charity, thats why we have to pay.

Its £6.00 for DeLorean+driver, and £13.50 (normal adult rate) for a passenger.

Do you want me to email Andrew Panton your reg number so that he can add you to
the gate list?

Owners going:

Claire Usher
Phill Wright
Malc Lomas
Dave Betts
Chris McGeachy
Eddie Tindall ??

Other people coming:

Paul Bardill
Andrew Scott-Spencer
Malc Fendley
'Flux3d'

Weather looks good for tomorrow, should be a fantastic day out Big Grin

Damn! Just read about having to buy tickets before the event. Do you think they will have tickets to buy on the door? The site seems to insist on a postal address, but with it being Friday night it's not going to get here in time! Should I just buy them online or turn up tomorrow? What do people think?

Mark,

if you email Andrew Panton enquiries@lincsaviation.co.uk tell him you're with us,
and see if he can add you to the 'door list' - that way you should be able to pay
on the gate - they've got a list of people/cars doing this.

cool, fingers crossed for you mate, be nice to meet you and chat all things DeLorean.

Well I'm knackered, as I (with a bit of help from our 2yr old daughter) washed Flopsy
and Sorbet this afternoon, we're planning on leaving when Andy gets to us at 8.30am
to arrive for 10am.

Safe journey's everyone, see you all there! Big Grin

BIG thanks to everyone who made it today, it was an awesome day out, and the
weather was absolutely glorious with blue skies and warm sunshine all day.

The airshow was fantastic, and we were treated to everything from a pair of
P51D Mustangs to a wing walker to an amazing display by a Russian Yak 52, who's
routine included 'the headache', a manoeuvre that defies all you ever learnt about
physics at school (and probably any contents of your stomach).

I'll upload pics and videos in due course - although Eddie was busy with the camera
so hopefully he can put a few on here and give you a flavour of the day we had.

Lots of laughs, great company, great cars, great planes - perfect!! Big Grin
