Xmas meet up - all welcome!
#16
nice one Ben, well I'm "un-sorning" Flopsy for the event, so it'll be good to
have at least a few of us there in De's - last year we had 2 De's at the Xmas
meet and that was despite the snow and ice Smile

I wont be bringing LEX with me unfortunately. It'd be a bit of a round trip for me, cramming in all that mileage in one weekend.

I would have to drive to Edinburgh from Rugby on the Friday, and then leave in the middle of the night to drive LEX down for lunch (after somehow finding the time to re-Tax her too!) and then drive here all the way back up to Edinburgh, before then returning back to Rugby again on the Sunday to go back to work on the Monday! Sheesh! Tired just thinking about it! lol!

Anyway, i'll be there with bells on, as long you good folk will accept me in the good old aubergine Civic. ;-)

I will be there if I can, but would not be able to stay too long. However with my big building project in full swing, I can't even predict further than tomorrow, when we have to lay 2 lorry loads of concrete for the "very important" 9M X 10 M garage base. Wish me dry weather ..please!

Andrew Westerman may also be comming.

Can we just clarify...?

We are meeting for lunch at 2pm, so, knowing us lot, if we wanna have a chat and a gather round the cars to point at bits, and discuss tyre pressures etc, then aim to meet up about 1:30pm??

Just so i know what time to set off from Ruggers tomorrow....?

I think its full steam ahead Rissy.....

The weather in the morning will determine weather I tax BLM2Y or not, but either way I will aim to get there at 1-1.30pm.... If not in the De, but the trusty M5 (Thats gonna hit me in the wallet!)

I'm really wanting to bring the DeLorean, put it that way... I did some checks last weekend and she's virtually ready to go after i've tanked up.....

But we'll see!

See you all tomorrow and safe journeys to all who attend!

Sounds good. I'll aim to get there between 1 and 1:30pm too then.....in the Civic. No choice for me on that one. BUT, I did join the tomtom revolution this week, so I'll be too busy playing with that for the first ever journey I'm making with it tomorrow. Ooooh. Can't wait!! Lol!

hey all, well the sun is shining here today, so hopefully it stays that way Smile

Flopsy is re-taxed Smile so we'll see you all there about 1pm or just after.

The American Diner are really looking forward to seeing us, perhaps if this event
and venue is a sucess we could have a mid summer meet there too?

Anyways, I'm off to put Flopsy's battery back on the car and give her a quick check
over (and put the tax disc on her screen), and Phill needs to put a splash of motion
lotion in Sorbet, so, fingers crossed both cars will make an appearance Smile

I've heard from RichH, he's bringing his De too, so that means we should have at
least 4 De's coming Big Grin

a HUGE thank you to everyone who made it today, especially Ben and Leanne who
brought BLM2Y all the way from South Wales, it was great to see you both.

I think the final headcount was 15, including rare appearances from Andy Withers and
Binny Louch and the Very Lesser Spotted Andy Westerman Big Grin

I think the general concesus of opinion was to have regular meets here, as its a fab
central location, Andy Withers seems keen for us to go back perhaps in the Spring, so
I'll talk to the Diner owners and see what dates they have available nearer the time, as
they are a popular venue with car clubs, including groups like the Split Screen Van Club.

I'll get a few pics up in due course, those that are on Facebook can see photos that I've
uploaded to my profile this evening.

Thanks again to everyone who came along! Mr Green
