DeLoreans Spotted
#1
If you spot a Delorean 'in the wild' feel free to post it here. Big Grin

Here's one seen at a garage in Devon, it hasn't been on the road for at least 10 years but it has now been moved to a secure location for restoration (helped with some parts bought through the club shop)

ooh, look at that ride height!! I hope new front springs were on the
shopping list! lol

Joking aside, looks like a fairly unmolested example. Any idea on the
vin no. or any other info on it?

Ok, so these DMC's haven't ACTUALLY been "spotted" by me. Simply pics found when trawling through the net etc. BUT, i thought them to be interesting enough for people to see, so here they are.

The Black Wheeled DMC

Two shots of a previous Pizza delivery company's DMC, still with original 80's paint job

And finally, the car i like to call "Knight DMC"

I remember seeing that last one (the black one) years ago as a project. Looks pretty damn awesome.
Its like Back To The Future meets the Knight Rider in a Stealth bomber.

I'm pretty sure its on bricks, thats definitely higher than factory lol

Al Vanstone has told me the VIN is 1834 and it looks like it never went to the US.

You probably know this, but the fiberglassed widened black one is Steve S.'s wonderous machine, here:

it said to be a little customized, but not so you'd notice Big Grin

THe car in Devon belongs to a chap called Gary Hooper, who is a massive lotus fan.
The car come over in the early 90's.
It lives in a village called Knowle near Exmouth in which I lived for a thew years.
I tryed several times to buy it from him but he wouldnt sell it.
I have had a good luck around it and I would say it was almost concourse.
It is vin 1834,June 81 with black interior and is a auto. there for has the wrong colour wheels and no gas flap(there is a walking stick and flat cap under the bonnet).
The only mark inside the car is a rip on the driver side seat, which is about an inch and a half long.
The panels are mint with no dents.and the chassis is in mint condition.
Rumour has it that the head gasket went around 93,94 and it was pushed into the workshop and left till now.
Deloris (Chrispys old car) lives in the village next door and belongs to a chap called mark, and it was Mark who told me the story of vin 1834.
Cheers
