ahoy hoy

any help/ideas?

I’m after someone to fabricate me a single piece made out of steel. It’ll be a steel ring with outside diameter of 72mm and internal diameter of 53mm with a depth of 10mm.

I cannot find a ‘local’ firm to do this.

don't know how much something like this would cost....

cheers.

Have you tried any machining places in Sheffield? They tend to be tooled up for the more larger jobs due to heavy industrial engineering in the area. I will ask at work when I get back next monday. As to the cost I have no idea but i can imagine the billet would be large if the outside diameter is 72mm.

I work in west midlands and I have a lot of contact with precision engineers. A friend of mine has a general machine shop. send me a pm with details and i can ask him to cost it for you.
What grade of steel is it?
