Yes, mine has a current MOT anyway. Took V5 to post office and it was done there and then. I had to as my tax was up at end of March anyway. So had to sorn from 29Th March until I was available on 7t... |

They can be fixed. DGo do a strengthening strip for the central rib and it may be possible to do the same down each side with strip or alu... |

That's true, Freq valve is RHS. I've not really tracked it down! But yeah,it happens whatever it is and has no noticeable influence on starting or not. It's always been a pretty good starter FWIW. |

I get exactly the same issue. I think it's the frequency valve.
Sometimes the speed of turning through key Position 2 affects whether it happens or not! I have noted it as a quirk and continue to ig... |

Ah ok.
The reason I mentioned that is that the copper leaf tabs where the multi-plugs go on to the back of the binnacle tend to be fairly thin and flappy.
I had a similar issue on a car of the same ... |

I guess if it's reading full scale deflection it must be getting the unadulterated battery voltage through it, not the reduced voltage caused by the variation in the resistance of the temp sender. So ... |

This seems to show that if the sender (183) is open circuit then you'll get full deflection at the voltmeter. So it looks like a break in the wire or a failure of the sensor 183.

I'm convinced this is due to the bolt bottoming out before it's fully squished the coppers up. I had to double up on washers and it sealed just fine. |
