Nice one Karl! Re the speedo, I had that issue in the past after having the binnacle off on my car, it turned out that the cable wasn't seated properly in the back of the speedometer in the binnacle....

Check the connections to the ballast resistor. A friends car had the same issues as you are describing. And that was sorted by adding new crimp connectors (the old ones had melted), and cleaning up ...

Check the connections going to the ballast resistor (the white thing on the left on the back wall of the engine bay). Check the contacts are clean and the crimps are in good order.

As Chris said, the old valves usually never work. Ditch the lot and put a cold air feed on straight from the pontoon to the air box, job done.

Thanks for that Claire. £28k is very keenly priced. In my opinion it's £2-£4k underpriced for such a nice car.

I have mine resting on the parcel shelf behind the netting. Nice and easy to get to, and doesn't require you to start putting extra holes in the car.
