UCS LEGO DeLorean - mattjeh - 25 Feb 2021
I recently turned 40, so this is a completely smart, utterly practical and worthwhile spend of money.
It's a thing of beauty and I'm never dismantling it. Nuh-uh.

You can get the instructions which includes the parts list from Brickvault for about £23 https://www.brickvault.toys/products/ucs-delorean-time-machine?_pos=2&_sid=f1ab1ff40&_ss=r
But thats just instructions remember. Then use a site like bricklink to actually purchase them. It's fairly straightforward as the parts list text file with the instructions make your life easier, but you'll find you have to spread the purchase over many lego re-sale stores. For me it was 27 individual stores including 1 international. Post and packaging quickly adds up and to be honest I paid silly money to bring it all together.
The windscreen for example that is used was only ever sold in 1 official lego set which is discontinued, so that piece alone cost me something like £40. The wheel arches too were difficult to get a hold of.
But at the end of the day, it's going in a display case and is never being dismantled so will be something I'll enjoy for years to come.
