Sadly there are quite few dreamers out there who have never laid a spanner on a car…..to them, i'd say have a chat with someone who has restored or worked on a car……before you part with any money.

It looks like its been baked in an oven, before being dropped in the sea.

Still, you can't say that BHCC are hiding anything. They do post a full set of pictures, warts and all.

Oh yes Dermot, they are a good source of cars…a bit expensive perhaps, but at least you know if you bought one off them, it should be delivered once you have paid up.

Another one from the batch of 'damp stored' cars they have had recently: http://www.beverlyhillscarclub.com/1981-delorean-dmc-c-6162.htm

that looks a lot of money for a car with a frame in that state!!

The interior will clean up, and front fascia painted, I'm also concerned that temperature gauge is sitting so high, is it low on coolant or does it have other issues?

Sorry, Chris, That's the same one you posted on July 23rd.

Thanks, didn't notice that. Unusual for them not to be snapped up!
Chris

Painted red car:  http://www.beverlyhillscarclub.com/1981-delorean-dmc-12-c-6394.htm salvage title may be an issue, but if you want a cheap car it may be worth a look. clearly has had money spent as A/C all looks new

How much were they asking for it? (Sale is now pending)

And from a post on dmctalk a few year ago, courtesy of Andy from Belgium

IIRC 16k ($)

Thanks Dangermouse, but I just found the image on the internet a few year ago ... together with this one.

Project car with what looks to be a sound chassis: http://www.beverlyhillscarclub.com/1982-delorean-dmc-c-6523.htm

RE: Project Cars @ BHCC - Dangermouse - 04 Nov 2016

A rough 3k miles or an easy 103k miles?

RE: Project Cars @ BHCC - Chris P - 05 Nov 2016

Looks OK to me, Chassis looks good, sun baked interior, damaged front wing and door, engine probably not running, few bits missing, and the auto box not everyones first choice. But still not too bad. i'd be tempted if it was in the UK.

RE: Project Cars @ BHCC - Guinney1971 - 06 Nov 2016

with the way the £/$ rate is now, project cars in the USA looking less attractive financially now, would have been better if the exchange rate was back up at the pre-Brexit $1.50-$1.60 mark.

Mind you, if we get a President Trump next week, it could be $3 to the £1 lol
