For The Love of Cars - Doc Brown - 05 Jul 2014

Apologies if this has been posted before. What was the general opinion her on 'For The Love of Cars' episode featuring a beautiful RHD drive stored away in a garage for a long time? From what I could gather Phil liked the car from the start and Ant was eventually won over. Do any of you wonderful owners who may have appeared in the show be able to shed some light on it for me please.

Hi...

Can't comment on that particular car, but there are laid up cars tucked away in garages everywhere....
Some are known to the club, some are not.

My guess is there are probably 20% more deloreans in the country that we know about, and that's because not everyone likes the internet / forums, or joins the club. These are the type that import a car off their own back, Use it for a bit, Get into a situation where the car falls into disrepair, and then it gets laid up for humpteen years. This can happen with "bitten off more than you can chew" import and restorations too. Buyers run out of funds, patience and love for the car.
Fortunately it doesn't happen too often hence the lack of cheap cars in the UK.

Buy cheap buy twice isn't it?

Welcome to the forum btw.

Ben

Hears the thread on the programme: viewtopic.php?f=47&t=4949 overall it was probably one of the best DeLorean programmes done. There were a couple of inaccuracies but not to bad really. The car they had to start with was a good one mind.
