re window regulator help required. - steve.s - 18 Mar 2007

hi

just wondered if anyone has done this....a pig to do but nearly there.

now got the old one off, and have the new one form Ed at dmc europe.

but they look pretty different, holes, brackets.

the bolt position on the 'knuckle' looks different.

has anyone fitted these?.

just that i did not want to force the new one into place, only to find it does not fit.

it looks as its its off a different car!. i thought it would be a direct sawp.

thanx for any help.

hi

no fitting instructions.

i do have new both sides so will get out of the box and compare.

they just look though as if they are off different cars.

ill sort the new ones and photo against the old.

hi

thanx for that info, it does seem to tie up with the new one, ie discard the old bracket.

if this is so i wandered why?. surely it would have been better to design the new part to fit the original bracket then a direct 'plug and play'

now you have to loosen new bracket system, try in car and when you fit, one of the original screw holes is not used.
i never like changing anything if possible from oem and this does a fair bit.

i'll try again.
