I used to live in the bus. I bought it restored, took the seats out, and converted it into a house to live in. Big Grin

Bonkers! Big Grin

Probably no bigger than some yankee RV's though, that's fantastic!

Fair play to you doing this, cant imagine how much work it is! keep it up. :-)

Re: Brushing stainless - RobScott - 19 Jul 2013

yeah its hard work in this heat, at the moment i have time off work, so can spend time on the car..... its funny how round here, you do somthing once, and your then see as the expert... i ended up polishing a stainless milk tanker for the farm, ha ha.

I think it may be worth investing in a wolfhead wheel, anyone know where to get one? i think i'll email chris and see where he got his.

or i could get a load of my friends round, feed them beers and buy a crap load of sand paper Big Grin lol

Re: Brushing stainless - Guinney1971 - 19 Jul 2013

Re: Brushing stainless - bjbrownie - 20 Jul 2013

Filler and paint can and will cover a multitude of sins-crack on! 8)
I noticed you have a DeLorean Owners Association sticker in the rear window, mine had one stuck in the windscreen corner, do you know it's history with the D.O.A.?

Re: Brushing stainless - Chris Williams - 20 Jul 2013

Quote:do you know it's history with the D.O.A
Mine has one in the top windscreen corner as well, along with a small metal style sticker with phone number on. can you find out the DOA history on the cars then?
Chris

Re: Brushing stainless - bjbrownie - 25 Jul 2013

The D.O.A. finished up quite a few years ago, I believe they tried to restart it again but it failed(just like a DeLorean)!
I made enquiries about # 10556 but to no avail, other owners may have better luck 8)

Re: Brushing stainless - Chris P - 25 Jul 2013

I aways thought it was an aptly named organisation, I didn't know it had actually finished though.

Re: Brushing stainless - RobScott - 25 Jul 2013

all the paint is now off Smile its not too bad, just the doors, passenger side is the worst.

I'm thinking somthing along these lines...

Re: Brushing stainless - MikeWard - 25 Jul 2013

Future generations will love and respect you if don't destroy the originality of the car, or at least do it in a non destructive and reversible way.

Sounds like this is going to be a little different, nice to see a modded DeLorean, we're pretty dull when it comes to modding d's in the uk, except when it comes to BTTF conversions.

Hope you keep us updated with progress.
