ASI Radio Wiring Diagram - Anyone know where to find one? - flux3d - 23 Oct 2012
I've identified the radio on #10719 which I'm importing. As it was manufactured in Dec 81 and registered in jan 82 It seems to have the later ASI radio, and strangley from what I can tell (from pictures as I don't have the car yet) it also has the clock.
Anyway, I'm keep to keep the original radio but add an AUX socket. Probably possible as I have access to people in the know, but I need a wiring diagram for it. Found one for the Craige unit, but not fot the ASI unit. I'm thinking of tapping into the signal coming out of the tape player, before the amp, allow for the rest of the functions to work fine on the original unit (FM/AM radio etc). Keep me busy while the car is garaged over the winter.
Anyone know where I can find one?

not sure about wiring diags, but we've done what you want to do with the stereo
in my 1989 Cavalier - wired in an aux socket to the stereo so that I can plug in
an MP3 player, and the car still looks original to anyone looking in. Nowt like a fancy
stereo on show to make people want to break into your car and rip it out of the dash
