Re: Not Starting - Rich H - 08 Oct 2012

Dodgy wiring.

There was no feed to the starter relay. Whilst it had been connected, it had been connected to one of the lines
to the interior blower rather than the supply.

The buzzer box also seemed to be feeding 12v into the relay coil via the 'start' position on the ignition switch.
Maybe not enough to power the coil, but certainly a battery drainer. Will need further investigation.

The fusebox is certainly in need of replacement. I've suggested to Paul my fusebox update, which IMO, is much
better than anything commercially available...

I think you basically recommended the same for my car Rich, but I've been having issues trying to source the correct box, looking around at many avenues like Ebay etc.

Any chance you can post up the details for making it easier to locate and purchase the recommended box and any additional required accessories?

The most difficult problems are always those created by a previous someone b.uggering about!

Definitely.
I didn't realise quite how tidy the fuse box area should look until I saw Richards.
I can't thank you enough guys. Big Grin
