UK spec Headlights - craigrid - 25 Oct 2011

Help :!:

In Oz i have to get an engineers report before i can get it over the pits for rego, the only thing the car failed the report on was the headlights.

As they are still the original, would anyone have an upto date part number for new uk spec lights and i will try to source them here Big Grin

On another note, in WA you can vitually buy any number plate you want, outtatime is looking good

Cheers

Make sure you apply for "OUTATIME". Just to be correct.

I'm pretty sure my outer headlights (they are all you need to change, the inners are main beam)
are Hella units, here's Hellas Australian website: http://www.hella.com/produktion/HellaAU ... e/Home.jsp

Re: UK spec Headlights - craigrid - 25 Oct 2011

more research tomorrow me thinks

These are currently on ebay UK but apparently will post world wide if they are any good....!!.. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DELOREAN-TRIU ... 4aaf9a6458

I'm sure if you give Dave Howarth a ring (or get tony to!!) he should be able to give you the part numbers from the ones he has.

Craig, You could try Valeo and see if they are available. I have them on my car. Part number is in the electrical section of the forum.

Nick

Don't get those. The Part number suggests they are for driving on the right.....

Rich is right, Bosch dont make a left hand traffic lens in a 4x6" housing.

I have a pair of brand new Hellas sitting here as I write, they were for my car but I can easily replace. If you're in a hurry, I can get them out to Oz inside 4 working days* for £50 via UPS.

Cost is £90/pair. Email me on martin@delorean.co.uk if you're interested.

(* according to them at least!)

Re: UK spec Headlights - craigrid - 29 Oct 2011

Cheers

Re: UK spec Headlights - craigrid - 03 Nov 2011

All good Big Grin found a universal number from the 1LB number through our purchasing dept...Hella 1044

sidelight was a small task as these main h/light bulb holders are a little bigger but all sorted now 8)

Booked in for engineers report next week then hopefully a quick trip over the pits for rego :!:

Thanks for any and all assistance! onto cv boots now! lol

Re: UK spec Headlights - Guinney1971 - 03 Nov 2011

good luck with the inspection - I think RichH might be able to advise on CV boots, I
think he replaced his last year.
