So, this engine has not run since 1996 ish as far as im aware, though it wouldnt supprise me if it had been started a few times while in storage.
What would people suggest as a course of action to get it back up and running?
obviously a damn good service and checkup, flush and change of all fluids, filters plugs, possibly belts, fuel lines....

Remove the fuel tank to clean it out
Flush fuel lines
Replace fuel filter
Then go from there I think.

Check the metering head plunger moves freely.
